With her own massage practice, her own horse and a fine job at an animal hospital, Mira had her life in Brabant nicely in order. ‘Yet I didn’t necessarily see a future for me in the Netherlands. I had always been Spanish-oriented. The music, language, culture and Spanish dance made me secretly dream of a life under the Spanish sun. When I met Bas at work, because Bob needed medical care, that dream became a concrete plan. It felt so good that together we decided to jump into the deep end and embark on the adventure. Once we arrived in Ibiza, we adopted canine child Marley and Pinto to complete our family.’
